Personalised Canvas Prints – Unique Personalised Gifts
12 January 2009 | By admin in Uncategorized
Canvas prints – also known as giclee canvas prints, wall canvas, box canvas prints – are a fantastic personalised gift idea, allowing you to give a truly unique gift to those you’re particularly special to you.
There was a time not so long ago that unique photo canvas prints cost hundreds of pounds, even for relatively small box canvases. Like all technologies, prices tend to decrease as the advancement in technology decreases the price of the equipment, and as more competition adds motivation for prices to drop. This is certainly what has happened with the canvas printing industry over recent years – and this is very good news, as canvas prints are now even better quality in terms of the quality of the print & colour fastness – but they’re also now far less expensive, meaning that they’re affordable to the masses, rather than the fortunate few.
This isn’t at all to say that personalised canvas prints are any less unique – because of course the uniqueness is all down to the image itself. That photograph you have of your kids playing on the beach, or of the dog when he was a puppy, your daughter riding her horse, or whatever it may be – is completely unique, and personal to you – or to the person you’re having the canvas produced for as a very special & unique personalised gift.
So if you’re looking for gift idea’s, and you would like to give someone special a gift which is completely unique – canvas prints are the perfect choice.

Hi
I was thinking of having a baby scan picture made into a canvas wall print. Is this something that can be done?
04 January 2009 | admin Said:
Hi sharon,
Yes, we can turn a baby scan image into a canvas print.
Our 12″ x 12″ canvas print would probably be the best for this, we could try larger if you like, but usually the scan photo’s are small, so it may pixelate too much if we try to make it much larger than 12″ x 12″
Thanks

I have an image I want printing on to canvas, but it needs some work doing to it – a bit of touching up as it was from a scan in of an older photo. Can you do this, and if so what does it cost?
Thanx

Hi Steph
Yes, we can touch up / airbrush / restore photographs prior to printing them on canvas.
This is free of charge, as are all of our photo canvas effects.
See our Canvas Prints Help & Tips section for more info.
Thanks,

So these prints are actually proper fabric canvas, not paper card or something?
Ive seen things that look like this but are actually on card or photo paper or something, in shops etc
I’m probably asking a silly question, as I’m sure canvas means canvas fabric – can u confim tho?
12 January 2009 | admin Said:
Hi Justin
Yes, our canvas prints are made with very high quality canvas, real fabric canvas – not card or paper.
You can get wall prints that are made from card or paper, that is quite a bit different to a canvas print. We print onto canvas, then we stretch this canvas onto high quality hand made wooden frames.
I hope this helps, and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any further quesions.

Hi
yeah canvas prints have certainly dropped in price in general, no doubt about that. They’re not all as cheap though, I nearly ended up paying double the price for the exact thing before I found this website!

Hi
I’ve got an oil painting that my great grandfather painted – a very long time ago.
I have taken it to a friend who has a large flatbed scanner, and she has scanned the image for me.
It’s rather dark though I’m afraid, not just the scan but the painting itself, and I cannot afford to get the oil painting restored, as this costs a lot of money. But if I send you the file would it be possible for you to improve the image and then to print this onto a number of canvases for me? There are a number of people in my family who would love a copy of this if I could get it restored nicely.
Thanking you in advance

Hi
What is the minimum file size for sending you for a photo print on canvas? I’m wanting something roughly 16×16″ can you let me know what kind of size the file would need to be to make this look OK?

Hi
I’ve got a photo taken on my mobile that i want to make a canvas print from. Can you take photo’s from mobiles & put these on canvas, or does it need to be taken from a digital camera? Also – if you can take them from mobiles, can you still apply the same effects etc?
Thanks

Hi
I’m a collector of sports memorabilia, I have some photo’s with autographs, that I have insured for quite a few quid – I want them putting onto canvas, but they’re not insured off my premises, and I don’t have them as files so they’d have to be sent to you.
Do you have insurance in transit, and if so can you arrange your courier to collect the photo’s, and then deliver them back to me with the completed canvases?

Hi
I have a giclee canvas print that I’ve had for about 20 years, I’m very fond of it, it’s the only art work I really have, but it’ been mistreated over various house moves.
If I bring the canvas to you (I’m south Manchester so I’m not far away) can you scan it in & produce a copy for me?
it’s roughly 40cm x 40cm

hi
I’ve got a signed photo of Elvis Presley, that my dad took himself.
If I send you a digital version of this image, can you print it on a canvas for me – but can you guarantee that you will not reproduce the canvas & re-sell? I’m sure you wouldn’t do that anyway but I want to be on the safe side.
Thankyou

Hi
I have an old ornament, it’s like a piece of slate with gold paint on it, but it’s kind of etched too or embossed, whatever it’s called – we’ve had it for years, bit of a family heirloom. Could we some how get this on a canvas?
Thanks – Gregg

I have a great photo, would make a great canvas, and I’m thinking of having one printed, but there’s a load of garden mess in the background – would it be possible for you to delete this somehow before printing it on the canvas?
